Certifications issued vs. the need
The DoD expects roughly 80,000 defense-industrial-base organizations to need CMMC Level 2 certification by the end of the phased rollout (November 2028). This page tracks cumulative final Level 2 certifications against that number — the clearest single picture of the assessment bottleneck.
